1. Immersion is the only way to learn. Talk, talk, talk. You will be conversing, and speaking during the entire online session. No boring tests or dittos, just talking. Plus, I do not mix languages, which can be detrimental to the learning process.
2. Lessons are individualized depending on the students needs, interests, and language level.
Kids: I have worked with students from kindergarten to high school and the key is to find out what they are interested in. My way of teaching depends on their hobbies, likes and interests, whether it is talking about their favorite food, books, music or movies.
Adults: I have worked with professionals from different fields and specialized in accounting, engineering, and medical/pharmaceutical industry vocabulary. Every job has its own set of vocabulary, and we individualize each class depending on your job. We also practice small talk and chat about whatever you're interested in. During a class, we will use articles, videos and content that keeps you interested and is practical for your goals.
3. Learning a language should not be stressful. If you are afraid to learn a language, or are nervous to speak, I am here to help. My main talent is getting students to lose their fear and anxiety to actually speak and not just repeat.
4. It is important to know that learning a language is different than learning math or history. I believe that learning a language is instinctual and must be taught through immersion. We all have the natural ability to learn a language. Our job is, to tap into the subliminal so that the student can learn a language naturally.
